The Global Citizen Festival is a culmination of Global Citizen's "Mandela 100" campaign, in proud partnership with House of Mandela, honouring the life and legacy of the father and former president of South Africa.
What is Mandela 100
Mandela 100 is brought to you through the joined efforts of; Dr. Precious Motsepe, Patrice Motsepe, Kweku Mandela, Dave Holmes, Declan Kelly, Liza Henshaw, Hugh Evans.
The festival itself will be presented by it's major partners; The Motsepe Foundation, Johnson & Johnson, Cisco, Nedbank, Vodacom, Big Concerts, House of Mandela, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation / Goalkeepers, Eldridge Industries, Associate Partner and HP.
Global Citizens campaign, which aims to rally $1 billion in new commitments, with $500 million of that set to impact the lives of 20 million women and girls worldwide, will focus on ending poverty, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, and life below water.

Keynote Speakers and Special Guests
Apart from the incredible entertainment line up, South Africans will be privileged to talks by non other than the talk show queen herself, Oprah Winfrey who will be joined on stage by; Naomi Campbell, Sir Bob Geldof, Gayle King, Tyler Perry and Forest Whitaker.
It is clearly evident that Nelson Mandela holds special place in everyones hearts, even other nationalities come together to commemorate his life, our struggle and the many injustices he fought so hard to rectify.
