This reserve is home to the highest navigational lighthouse in South Africa, standing a staggering 146m above sea level.

Tenikwa Wildlife Nature Reserve
Tenikwa Wildlife Centre started from very humble beginnings back in 2002, where owners took in injured bird life and rehabilitated them in a wooden shed at the back of their house.
Today it is one of the largest active wildlife rehabilitation centres in the Western Cape, attending to a diverse variety of animals accepting both terrestrial and marine species.
A variety of indigenous birds, such as Blue Cranes, Marabou Storks and Waterfowls frequent the gardens of Tenikwa, the extent of which covers some 8ha with the balance of the 46ha set aside for wild animals occurring in the area.

Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary
Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary has received raving reviews and is rated 5 stars on Tripadvisor, making this the ideal place to learn about anything reptile related.
They offer hourly guided tours, where visitors are educated on all things wildlife, these tours are especially loved by the little ones.
There are over 100 snake species housed at this park and they cater to both snake phobias and snake lovers alike.
