MOSSVILLE: WHEN GREAT TREES FALL (F/F) (2019) 

Synopsis

Mokalik tells the story of Ponmile, an 11-year-old middle-class boy from the suburbs who spends a day working as a lowly apprentice at a mechanic workshop in order to view life from the other side of the tracks. But Ponmile takes to the job with much greater enthusiasm than is expected and, when his father arrives to take him home, the young boy has to decide if he wants to return to school or take on an apprenticeship full time. With a standout performance from Tooni Afolayan as Ponmile, Mokalik is an engaging and heart-warming film.
