‘Beating The Ground’ is a show celebrating the heritage of the African people through dance. It is an example for the African people to remember their commonalities that are enhanced in the teaching of Ubuntu to continue the practice of praising and worshiping God in the best way that we used to do as Africans. It is also a reminder to us to respect the institution of authority especially those traditional institutions where we understand the roles played by the paramount Chief, Elders, Servants and Subject. Africans have been described as barbaric without knowledge of civilisation have described. In this show, we demonstrate how Africans acknowledges the presence through songs, dance and prayer rituals without losing our identity.
