TREASURE HUNT FOR FREEDOM - MANDELA DAY CENTENARY EVENT! Come along to Woodrock Animal Rescue on Sunday the 15th July 2018, to take part in our fun key treasure hunt adventure! Tickets: R100 per person. Tickets must be pre purchased via quicket at Woodrock have upped their game! For R100, come along to our incredible event and leave your footprint at Woodrock Animal Rescue. Make a commitment to our animals who are locked away without a choice, without a voice. With a view and understanding of immense respect for a leader that was incarcerated for 27 years, Woodrock are hosting an event with a mindfulness and observation of being jailed. We want all South Africans to imagine what it must be like to be locked up.

Date: Sunday 15th July 2018

Time: 10am to 3pm

Venue: Woodrock Animal Rescue

We are on Plot 51, on the R511 between Fourways and Hartbeespoort, Hennops River Valley, Gauteng, South Africa.

• When you arrive you will get a chain and lock attached to your arm.

• You will then hunt for the key to unlock and free yourself. Woodrock will give you a “Treasure Hunt” script to follow around Woodrock premises.

• When your key is found, you can unlock the lock and chain. A feeling of freedom! Like Mandela’s journey to freedom.

• The lock will then be locked onto on the fence at the entrance to our shelter known as the “Bridge of commitment to animals”. By doing so you will be locking your heart into animal welfare. This lock will be your commitment to a great man’s vision. Taking the key home with you this key will be a reminder of the animals locked away without a voice, without a choice, that depend on Man.

Food and refreshments will be on sale. You can bring a picnic lunch which you may enjoy in the valley in our stunning surrounds. We will have Woodrock merchnadise on sale. This event is very close to our hearts and we are super excited to have our Supporters come along to take part. Public participation would be HUGELY appreciated!

"We dedicate this day to all the heroes and heroines in South Africa who want to make this world a better place” DR. Nelson Mandela.

Animals in our care have our unified commitment and we provide the very best care that we are financially able to. You, the public are our pillars that “make the change we wish to see”

Thank you and Paw Salute!
